Hanson is a small town in Plymouth County, Massachusetts. It is approximately 20 miles southeast of Boston. As of the 2020 US Census, the town has a total population of 10,639. It has a total area of 15.7 square miles, which is comprised mostly of land. It is one of the inland towns in the South Shore in Massachusetts, bordering Rockland and Hanover to the north, Halifax to the south, Pembroke to the east, and East Bridgewater to the west.
